Welcome to Template Twist! These Terms & Conditions explain how our website, digital products and services work, including your rights and responsibilities when purchasing from us.
Please read them carefully before making a purchase. By placing an order, you agree to these terms, subject to your applicable consumer rights.
1. About Template Twist
Template Twist is an independent website template business operated by Alana Handford, trading as Template Twist, based in England, United Kingdom.
We specialise in professionally designed Squarespace website templates, helping business owners create beautiful, functional websites without starting from scratch.
Throughout these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Template Twist. "You" and "your" refer to our website visitors and customers.

2. Our Products & Services
Template Twist offers digital products and related services, which may include:
Squarespace website templates: Pre-designed websites that customers can customise for their own businesses.
Free website templates: Selected templates offered at no upfront template cost, subject to any stated eligibility requirements.
Template installation: Assistance with installing or transferring a purchased template.
Website customisation: Personalisation of a template using customer-provided branding, images and content.
Additional services: Other website-related services offered separately, as described on the relevant product or service page.
The exact features, pages, deliverables and inclusions of each product or service are described on its individual listing.
Purchasing a template does not automatically include installation, customisation, ongoing website maintenance or a Squarespace subscription unless expressly stated.
3. Purchasing & Payments
All prices are displayed in the currency indicated on our website, generally US dollars (USD), unless otherwise stated.
Payment must be completed before digital products are delivered or services begin, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Payments are processed securely through our available third-party payment providers. We do not directly store your full payment card details.
Depending on your location, your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion fees or other charges.
Any applicable taxes will be displayed or calculated during checkout where required.
We reserve the right to update product prices, descriptions and availability at any time. Price changes will not affect orders already accepted and paid for.
We may cancel an order where there has been an obvious pricing error, suspected fraudulent activity or another legitimate reason. Where payment has already been collected and we cannot fulfil the order, we will provide an appropriate refund.
4. Digital Product Delivery
All Template Twist website templates are digital products. No physical items will be shipped.
Depending on the product purchased, delivery may involve:
A digital download containing instructions or access information.
An invitation to access a Squarespace website.
A Squarespace website transfer.
Another delivery method clearly described on the product listing.
Some templates may require you to create or access a Squarespace account before delivery can be completed.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and following any instructions necessary to receive your purchase.
If you experience difficulty accessing your template, please contact hello@template-twist.com so we can assist.
Delivery times may vary depending on the product and whether any manual setup or transfer is required.
5. Template Licensing & Permitted Use
When you purchase a Template Twist website template, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that template for one website.
Your purchase does not transfer ownership of the original template design or its underlying intellectual property.
You are permitted to:
Use your purchased template to create one website for yourself or your business.
Customise the template's colours, fonts, images, text, layout and other design elements.
Use the customised website for your own commercial activities.
Engage a designer or developer to help customise your licensed website, provided they do not reuse or redistribute the template.
You are not permitted to:
Resell, redistribute, share, sublicense or give away the template.
Use a single template purchase to create multiple independent websites.
Claim ownership or authorship of the original Template Twist design.
Repackage or reproduce our templates for sale on Etsy, Creative Market, your own website or any other marketplace.
Distribute the template or substantially similar copies as a free or paid product.
Share template access with others for the purpose of avoiding additional licence purchases.
A separate licence must be purchased for each additional website.
You retain ownership of your own branding, original content and other materials that you add to your website, subject to any third-party rights.
The licence does not restrict your ability to operate, promote or commercially benefit from the individual website created under your purchase.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the original website templates, layouts, design elements, graphics, written content and other original materials created by Template Twist remain our intellectual property.
Our products are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit our original designs outside the permissions granted by your template licence without prior written permission.
Some templates may feature demonstration images, fonts, graphics or other third-party materials. These may be subject to separate licences or usage restrictions.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that any images, fonts, logos or other content used on their published websites are appropriately licensed.
We reserve the right to take appropriate action where our intellectual property rights are infringed.
7. Squarespace & Third-Party Services
Template Twist is an independent business and is not owned, operated or endorsed by Squarespace.
Our templates are designed for use with Squarespace and require a compatible Squarespace account.
A paid Squarespace subscription is generally required to publish and maintain a live website.
Squarespace subscription fees, domain registration, email marketing, scheduling, ecommerce features and other third-party services are not included in your template purchase unless expressly stated.
Any Squarespace trials, promotional discounts or special offers are subject to Squarespace's own eligibility requirements, terms and availability.
We cannot guarantee that third-party promotions will remain available or that customers will qualify for them.
Squarespace may update its platform, features, pricing or functionality independently of Template Twist.
Although we aim to design templates that work with the supported Squarespace platform at the time of delivery, we cannot guarantee indefinite compatibility with future platform changes.
Customers are responsible for maintaining their own Squarespace subscriptions, accounts, domain names and any additional services required to operate their websites.
8. Refunds & Cancellation Rights for Digital Templates
Due to the digital nature of our products, we do not generally offer voluntary change-of-mind refunds once a template has been downloaded, accessed or delivered and any applicable statutory cancellation rights have been validly lost or expired.
For UK consumers, digital content purchased online will generally be subject to a 14-day cancellation period unless a lawful exception applies.
Where you expressly consent to receiving digital content during this cancellation period and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once supply begins, that cancellation right may end when supply begins, provided all applicable legal requirements have been met.
If those requirements have not been met, your statutory cancellation rights may continue to apply.
We do not generally provide refunds simply because:
You have changed your mind after validly losing your cancellation right.
You no longer need the template.
You have decided to use another website platform.
You expected features or services that were not included in the product description.
You are unfamiliar with Squarespace or require additional assistance beyond the support included with your purchase.
Faulty or misdescribed products
If your template is faulty, significantly different from its description or does not meet applicable legal requirements, please contact us.
We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights. Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your statutory consumer rights.
9. Website Customisation & Installation Services
Where you purchase a website customisation or installation service, the scope of work will be based on the product description and any additional written agreement.
Customisation services may include applying your branding, images and written content to an existing Template Twist design.
Unless expressly included in your purchase, services do not cover:
Completely bespoke website design or extensive structural redesigns.
Ecommerce product uploads.
Scheduling or booking system configuration.
Payment processor setup.
Email marketing automations or CRM integration.
Domain connection or transfer.
Ongoing website maintenance or management.
Additional pages or functionality outside the agreed scope.
Additional work may be quoted and charged separately.
Customer responsibilities
To complete your project, you must provide the information and materials reasonably required, including your branding, website copy, images and relevant account access.
You confirm that you own or have permission to use any materials you supply.
You are responsible for reviewing the accuracy, legality and suitability of your website content, including business claims, pricing, policies and contact information.
We are not responsible for delays caused by missing content, incomplete instructions, unavailable access or delayed customer responses.
Revisions and additional work
Where your purchased package includes revisions, the number and scope of those revisions will be specified in the relevant listing or written agreement.
Minor revisions generally involve adjustments to work already completed within the agreed scope.
Requests for new pages, additional functionality or substantial changes to the original brief may incur additional charges.
Project timelines
Any estimated completion date will be communicated separately and may depend on receiving all required materials.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, estimated timelines are not guaranteed completion dates. Your statutory rights concerning service performance and agreed deadlines remain unaffected.
10. Customisation Service Cancellations & Refunds
If you wish to cancel a customisation or installation service, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where work has not yet begun, we will generally provide a refund, subject to any applicable legal requirements.
Where work has already begun, any refund will depend on the work completed, the agreed service scope and your statutory cancellation rights.
For UK consumers, services purchased at a distance will generally be subject to a 14-day cancellation period.
If you expressly request that we begin providing services during that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already supplied if you subsequently cancel, where permitted by law.
If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period, your cancellation right may be lost where the required consent, acknowledgement and other legal conditions have been satisfied.
Where a service has not been performed with reasonable care and skill or does not otherwise meet applicable legal requirements, you may be entitled to repeat performance, a price reduction or another statutory remedy.
We will always consider cancellation and refund requests in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
11. Technical Support
We want you to have a positive experience using your Template Twist website.
We provide reasonable assistance with technical issues directly related to the original template, including problems accessing or using the supplied design.
Unless otherwise stated, template purchases do not include:
Unlimited technical support.
One-to-one Squarespace training.
Custom coding or development.
Ongoing design changes.
Troubleshooting unrelated third-party integrations.
Repairing issues caused by extensive customer modifications.
Website management or maintenance.
We may recommend Squarespace's official support resources for questions relating to the wider Squarespace platform.
We do not guarantee a specific support response time unless expressly agreed.
Nothing in this section limits our obligations to remedy faulty digital products or services under applicable law.
12. Free Website Templates
Selected Template Twist templates may be available free of charge.
Free templates may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, promotional conditions or delivery processes explained on the relevant product page.
A free template does not necessarily include a free Squarespace subscription, domain name, installation service or customisation.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, free templates are subject to the same one-website licensing restrictions as paid templates.
We may modify or discontinue free template promotions at any time, without affecting rights or obligations already established.
13. Affiliate Programme
13.1 Overview
Template Twist operates an affiliate programme that allows approved affiliates to earn commission by referring customers who purchase eligible Squarespace website templates through their unique affiliate links.
The programme is free to join and is managed through GoAffPro. Participation is subject to approval by Template Twist.
By joining the programme, affiliates agree to the terms outlined below.
13.2 Commission Rates
Affiliates earn 50% commission on qualifying paid Squarespace website template purchases made through their unique referral links.
For example, a $99 USD template purchased at full price generates $49.50 USD in commission.
Commission is calculated on the eligible purchase amount after discounts, excluding applicable taxes and other non-commissionable charges.
13.3 Qualifying Purchases and Exclusions
Commission is payable only on eligible, completed website template purchases successfully attributed to an affiliate.
The following do not qualify for commission:
Free website template downloads.
Website customisation and personalisation services.
Template installation services.
Additional services and add-ons.
Purchases made through an affiliate's own referral link (self-referrals).
Refunded, cancelled or fraudulent transactions.
Purchases made through third-party marketplaces, including Etsy and Creative Market.
Purchases that cannot be validly attributed to an affiliate referral.
13.4 Referral Tracking and Cookies
Each approved affiliate receives a unique referral link through GoAffPro.
Referral tracking period: 30 days.
When a visitor clicks an affiliate link, a referral tracking cookie may be stored for up to 30 days, subject to applicable consent requirements and browser settings.
If the visitor makes a qualifying purchase within the tracking period, the sale may be attributed to the affiliate in accordance with the programme's tracking rules.
Referral tracking may be affected by cookie restrictions, browser privacy settings, consent preferences or technical limitations.
Template Twist cannot guarantee attribution where a referral has not been successfully tracked.
13.5 Commission Approval and Holding Period
All commissions are subject to a 30-day review and holding period following the qualifying purchase.
During this period, Template Twist may verify the order, review its eligibility and account for any refunds, cancellations or fraudulent transactions.
Commissions become eligible for payment only after the 30-day holding period has passed and the transaction has been approved.
Commission approval is managed manually and may not be automatically reflected in the affiliate dashboard.
13.6 Affiliate Payments
Approved affiliate commissions are paid monthly via PayPal.
The minimum payout threshold is $25 USD.
Affiliates must have at least $25 USD in approved, payable commissions to qualify for payment.
If an affiliate's approved commission balance is below $25 USD, the balance will carry forward to the next monthly payout cycle until the threshold is reached.
Commissions that have not completed the 30-day holding period will not be included in that month's payout.
Payments are processed manually by Template Twist. Affiliates are responsible for providing accurate PayPal payment details and meeting any applicable tax obligations.
13.7 Refunds, Cancellations and Adjustments
Commission is not payable on refunded, cancelled, fraudulent or otherwise ineligible purchases.
If a qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled before commission payment, the associated commission will be reversed.
If a refund or cancellation occurs after commission has been paid, Template Twist may recover the relevant commission through deductions from future payments, where legally permitted.
13.8 Affiliate Promotion and Conduct
Affiliates may promote Template Twist through appropriate channels, including:
Websites and blogs.
YouTube videos and tutorials.
Pinterest and social media.
Email newsletters.
Business communities and professional recommendations.
All promotions must be honest, accurate and comply with applicable advertising and consumer protection laws.
Affiliates must clearly disclose their affiliate relationship when sharing referral links, including where required by UK advertising regulations and other applicable laws.
Affiliates must not:
Make misleading claims about Template Twist products or services.
Impersonate Template Twist or claim to be an official representative.
Engage in spam, deceptive advertising or fraudulent promotional practices.
Generate artificial referrals or manipulate affiliate tracking.
Make purchases through their own referral links to earn commission.
Offer unauthorised discounts or incentives.
Use Template Twist branding in misleading or unauthorised advertising.
13.9 Affiliate Dashboard
Approved affiliates receive access to a GoAffPro affiliate dashboard where they can view their referral links, tracked sales, commission balances and payment information.
Dashboard figures may include pending or unapproved commissions and should not be considered guaranteed earnings.
All commissions remain subject to verification and approval under these terms.
13.10 Programme Changes and Termination
Template Twist reserves the right to update the affiliate programme, including commission rates, eligibility requirements and payment conditions.
Reasonable notice will be provided for material changes where practicable.
Template Twist may suspend or terminate an affiliate account where programme terms are breached, fraudulent activity is identified or continued participation is otherwise inappropriate.
Valid, approved commissions earned before termination remain payable in accordance with these terms, subject to applicable adjustments and legal requirements.

14. Customer Websites & Content
Customers are responsible for the content published on websites created using our templates.
This includes ensuring that website content:
Does not infringe another person's intellectual property rights.
Complies with applicable laws and regulations.
Does not contain unlawful, misleading or defamatory material.
Includes any legally required privacy notices, disclosures or other policies.
Uses images, fonts and other third-party assets with appropriate permissions.
Template Twist does not provide legal, tax or regulatory compliance advice as part of a standard template purchase.
Any sample policies, disclaimers or legal text included within a template are for illustrative purposes and should not be treated as legal advice.
You are responsible for ensuring that your completed website meets the requirements applicable to your business and location.
15. Website Availability & Changes
We aim to keep our website, product listings and digital resources accurate and accessible.
However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to our website or that it will always be free from technical errors.
We may update, improve, replace or discontinue products and website features.
We are not obliged to provide new designs, additional features or ongoing updates to previously purchased templates unless expressly agreed or required by law.
Changes to our product catalogue will not remove rights you have already acquired under an existing purchase.
16. Limitation of Liability
We take reasonable care in designing and supplying our products and services.
However, we do not guarantee that purchasing or using a Template Twist template will result in increased website traffic, search engine rankings, enquiries, sales or business revenue.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses arising solely from third-party platform outages, customer-created content, unauthorised modifications or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
For customers purchasing wholly for business purposes, our liability for ordinary contractual claims will generally be limited to the amount paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim, to the extent such a limitation is lawful and enforceable.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
Nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights or remedies available to consumers.
17. Privacy & Personal Information
We collect and process personal information where necessary to operate our website, fulfil orders, provide customer support and deliver our services.
This may include your name, email address, order details and information provided during a customisation project.
Our handling of personal information is explained in our separate Privacy Policy.
By using our website, you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled as described in that policy and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
18. External Links & Third-Party Websites
Our website may contain links to external websites, platforms, tools or services.
These links are provided for convenience or informational purposes.
We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or independent terms and policies.
Where we recommend or link to third-party services through an affiliate relationship, we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. Such relationships do not increase your purchase price unless otherwise disclosed.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes to our business, products, services or applicable legal requirements.
The latest version will be published on our website with an updated effective date.
Changes will generally apply to future purchases and website use. They will not retrospectively remove contractual or statutory rights associated with orders already placed.
We encourage customers to review these terms before making a purchase.
20. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country or place of residence.
If you are purchasing as a consumer outside England and Wales, nothing in these terms removes any mandatory rights or protections provided by the laws applicable to you.
Disputes will be handled by courts with jurisdiction under applicable law.
